It’s nice to be back in California!!
Today I headed South from Red Bluff and drove to Santa Rosa to visit a friend named Leslie. Leslie is the Paralegal at my Lawyers’ office that has helped me to get all of my paperwork together and been my main contact for my lawsuit against the maker’s of Vioxx (the medication I was taking that caused my stroke). I’ve been on the phone with her for the past few years and with her (and Jeremy’s) diligence we have finally reached a settlement. I hadn’t met Jeremy nor Leslie face to face in all of the 6 years we’ve been working together on this so today was the day! I met Jeremy and Leslie and had a nice lunch and chat with Leslie. It was wonderful to finally meet her eye to eye.
I drove south from there into the city and crossed the Golden Gate Bridge with very little traffic. Video is available at: Ron Crossing The Golden Gate Bridge . I had some time to kill before meeting with Jackie for dinner and a wonderful evening of kibitzing so I decided to drive the switchback segment of Lombard Street. Tomorrow I will drive out to the East Bay and see Mike and Judy and stay with them for a couple of nights. Mike and I will go do some target practice at the Range tomorrow and then to the Wharf on Thursday. I’m looking forward to seeing them both!!
